Textiles

A fun-filled term with our topic on 'Textiles'. We were learning to sew different materials together and used different materials to stitch flowers onto some tote bags.  It was interesting learning all about the Linen Industry in Northern Ireland and the materials and products they produced.

Science experiments galore testing materials for absorbency, strength and stretch and we even designed our own trendy safety clothes for wearing in the dark.

The German artist, Gunta Stölzl was our inspiration for some paper weaving.
